About Me

Tara Nazario and daughterTara Nazario, PCD(DONA)

My training as a postpartum doula began over two years ago and it has been an amazing journey, personally and professionally. While supporting families during these past few years, I too became a parent for the first time. My little girl was born in comfort of my own home (with the support of a compassionate midwife and intuitive birth doula of course) and it was the beginning of our spiritual adventure! Caring for and parenting my daughter through the fourth trimester, has helped me to fully understand how exciting and difficult the adjustment can be. My experience assisted me in many ways and has helped me to become the confident, nurturing, nonjudgmental breastfeeding-a-toddler Mommy, and Doula, that I am today. I have had the privilege of supporting families from different walks of life and these experiences have also helped to shape not only my philosophy, but my present and future goals as well.

Experience in Postpartum:
Familiar with this wonderful, special time, I know that it can at times feel overwhelming. Giving birth at home to my daughter in 2006, was an incredible experience for myself and my family. I have a history of caring for families and have personal as well as professional experience during the postpartum period.  I am excited to continue to work with and nurture families during this precious time.
